“She didn’t just alter clothing — she transformed it.”
Ten pieces — corrective re-alterations, post-surgery refits, and a jacket others called beyond repairThe Edit
Working with her was completely different from a typical alterations experience. Instead of simply making clothes smaller or shorter, she looked at every piece in my wardrobe with a designer’s eye. She came to my home, spent time understanding my style and how my body had changed after my breast reduction, and immediately saw possibilities in pieces I had nearly given up on.
What surprised me most was her creativity. She could look at an outdated dress and envision it as a beautiful skirt, or take a top that no longer fit correctly and completely rework it so it felt custom-made for me. She didn’t just alter clothing — she transformed it.
The experience completely changed how I look at my wardrobe. Instead of seeing clothes that no longer fit or pieces that felt outdated, I started seeing potential. She helped me realize that many items I thought I needed to replace could be reinvented into something even better.
The transformed pieces felt like brand-new additions to my closet. They fit beautifully, were tailored specifically to my body, and felt more “me” than they ever had before. One of the most impressive examples was a jacket that several other alteration specialists told me was beyond repair. She painstakingly reconstructed and repaired every seam, bringing it back to life when everyone else said it couldn’t be done.
She is incredibly knowledgeable, exceptionally skilled, and remarkably creative. Her talent goes far beyond alterations — she has a true gift for reimagining clothing and helping people fall in love with their wardrobes again. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Lisa, I am lost for words. I’m just so happy and grateful reading this. It makes me have no regrets doing this — and wanting to continue, and do it better. I am truly thankful to have met you.
